Description

1969 Jaguar E Type 4.2 Roadster

1969 Jaguar E type roadster finished in British Racing Green with black hide interior and a black hood. This is a decent example imported from the USA back in 1991 and in the same ownership in Carmarthen until 2018 when it was purchased by the most recent owner as part of a small collection.  The car was converted to right hand drive many years ago and whilst we consider that there are improvements to be made, the panel fit is good, the engine holds good oil pressure and shows no signs of over-heating and the car drives very well.  With the car is a file containing various previous registration documents and several old MOT certificates dating back to 1997 when the recorded mileage was 78,839. Also in the car file are invoices describing an engine rebuild which took place less than 3000 miles ago and evidence of replacement clutch and brake calipers.  This car is likely to suit an individual, possibly with a limited budget and able to carry out some improvements himself. None of the improvements are "Rocket Science" but some time spent tinkering with this car is likely to be well rewarded. Also in the file is a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate which confirms that the car still retains its original matching numbers engine and gearbox and was dispatched to Jaguar Cars in New York on the 14th October 1968. This is probably the most competitively priced E type roadster currently on the market and only priced at this level whilst Covid 19 is still the main topic of conversation, after which I'm sure that a more realistic price will be easily achieved. Strike now by buying this car at the knock down price of only £55,000
