2016 AC Cobra Hawk Replica
2016 Cobra 427 Recreation, built as a show car and demonstrator for Hawk cars. This stunning example was constructed in South Africa by "High Tech” SA who build the Supaformance Cobra Coupes and GT 40 Recreations to the highest standard. Only two examples were ever built to this exacting specification, with slightly more cockpit accommodation so that a larger man will fit comfortably. Powered by a 5800cc Ford Motorsport Windsor V8 351 cubic inch engine coupled to the ultra-reliable Tremac 5 speed gearbox, all very suitable for this car. The chassis design has been kept as close as possible to the original Cobra’s with all suspension pick up points as original. Finished in Deep Ocean Blue with white Cobra stripes and contrasting black leather bucket seats and interior. The dashboard instrument layout closely resembles the original cars from the 60’s and many would believe this car to be from that period. Fitted with a nice leather bound, three pronged steering wheel, a full sized windscreen with side wind deflectors and excellent mohair hood and taylor made side screens. Other accoutrements include a Le Mans style filler cap, fully chromed roll-over bar, full tonneau cover, adjustable pedal box, inertia reel seat belts and twin cooling fans.
