Description

1970 Aston Martin DB6 MkII

1970 Aston Martin DB6 MkII finished in Salisbury Blue with contrasting Sand beige hide interior. The DB6 MkII has always been considered to be the most desirable of all with only 245 cars ever having been produced. Sold by us to a discerning owner in 2001 when it had already been upgraded to Vantage specification, the car has been used sparingly during the intervening 20 years with a total mileage covered in that period of less than 5000 miles. This is a good running example that drives well, holds excellent oil pressure, runs at the correct temperature and is a joy to drive. When new back in 1970, these cars were built to exacting standards and were more than double the cost of a Jaguar E type and provided fast effortless transport for wealthy owners. From a cosmetic point of view this DB6 has now reached the stage where it would benefit from some improvements to the paintwork to maximise the enjoyment usually gained from owning such an important classic and some improvements to the trim might also be considered. Bearing this in mind, our realistic owner has instructed us to offer this potentially excellent example at the very attractive asking price of £195,000. (We believe it to be worth considerably more).
