1958 Jaguar XK150 DHC
1958 Jaguar XK150 Drop Head Coupe finished in Old English White with contrasting red leather interior with best quality Wilton carpet throughout, all of which is in excellent condition. This is a completely rust free, matching numbers example that was repatriated into the UK in 1997 and has been in the ownership of the same family ever since and has been very well maintained. The shut lines of the doors bonnet and boot lid are all exceptionally good and the general finish of the paintwork is in fine condition for a car that is now in her 62nd year. Fitted from new with rare automatic transmission with the benefit of intermediate speed hold giving the driver full control of the preferred gear for any set of circumstances. I was amazed when driving this car for the first time just how relaxing the gearbox makes the whole driving experience. Contrary to popular belief, this car is light and very easy to drive and with the benefit of upgraded Coopercraft front brake callipers, it stops like a modern car. Sitting on 16” chrome wire wheels, shod with almost new, period style white wall tyres, the car has a very attractive 50’s appearance with more room inside compared to its XK120 and XK140 predecessors. The black mohair hood is also in excellent condition and is nicely lined in West of England cloth. We have made a thorough inspection of the underside of the car and the whole of the chassis is in remarkable condition, typical of a car that was first registered in California. Probably perfect for the more mature owner who wishes to participate in some of the Continental tours open to classic cars. Please note that if required we are able to convert this car from LHD to RHD and fit an original Jaguar four speed manual gearbox with overdrive, all at additional cost. The 321 JAG number plate is available by separate negotiation. Please enquire for more details.
